Yes. There will have floor access door for every hotel. And hotel wants to install hotel locks on this floor access door as well besides install hotel lock on guests room, and also wants to make sure guest cards can open this floor access door as well. 

For hotel locks, there is a solution for this: There is a public data board/program for this access door. After you install hotel lock on this door with this kind of data board, any guests of this floor can open this door as well.

1- Static handle design. This means, the handle cannot press down at any time. Only when you insert keys or swipe card, then press down handle. Door can open. However, in hotels or some public places, people like to press down handle with hard power. So it will harm the lock. 

2- Free handle design. This means, the handle can press down at any time. When you open door by keys or cards or without doing anything, handles can press down freely. This surely will avoid harm to lock because of breakage on purpose. Also this will make hotel lock work more smoothly. 

Free handle design is now very popular in hotel locks line, because it is really useful. ‘

Normally, some hotels have a glass gate. In the daytime, hotel gate opens. But at midnight, as some guests will be back late. So they can use their guest card to open gate door.

Hotel lock system can connect with normal access control system. Install one read head outside of the gate. Then ok. Read head is just like the bridge between hotel lock system and access control system. It has three-four ports which appropriate for access control system.

Just remember, when you select exact access control system, please specify gate door material is metal or glass or wooden. It will be very helpful in this whole process. After combine hotel lock system and access control system, hotel security also improves at well, to some extent.

In this market, normally for hotel lock use, we have swipe card & RFID card. 

Swipe card: 2 kinds. One is that kind, Chip is on the appearance of the card. Just like the card we use to make calls. Once we insert card into tel machine, dial number then call gets through. So same, once we insert card into lock . door will open only when card chip arrives the exact sensor place. So for this kind, normally will influence lock smooth status. Also it is easy for guest to take the chip out from cards. And it cannot record.

The other is similar to bank card. There is a long black magnetic stripe on the card. We swipe the card into the gap, then door open. It is easy for this kind of magnetic nature to disappear. And it cannot record.

RFID cards: Chip inside. Have record function with higher security. And especially for hotel. The swipe distance is between 0-30mm. 

Nowadays, Swipe card (tel card and bank card type) already out from market, because RFID card can offer clients better security in hotel lock line.

T5557 card, also called as “Temic card, RFID card”. 125Khz frequency. Keep latest 200PCS open door records. One chip inside. T5557 card is ONLY for T5557 hotel lock system.

Mifare1 card, 13.56Mhz frequency. Keep latest 1000PCS open door records. One chip inside, but with 16 districts. Normally our lock info is set in the No.14^th district. If the hotel has its own Hotel management system, you can use other 15 districts as parking, access control, consuming etc. Mifare1 card is ONLY for Mifare1 hotel lock system.

Normally in hotels, they would like to connect hotel lock system with elevator together. There oftenly have two ways to make them combined.

Choice A: Install elevator control outside (near the elevator entry button). If so, you should swipe card on elevator control first, and then press elevator up button, then it will open. After you come inside, you can go to any floor you would like to go. For example, i live in 2nd floor. But with this kind of elevator control, i can go to 3rd, 4th, 5th, any floor i like. This is for hotels to control: only persons who are hotel staff or hotel guest can come into the elevator.

Choice B:Install elevator control inside (inside the elevator, near the elevator button place). If so, you can come inside the elevator freely. But after you come inside, you must swipe card on elevator control (if you not swipe card, even if you press button, won't have response from elevator). if i live in 2nd floor, then i need to press 2nd floor, and then elevator will take me to 2nd floor.

After combine hotel lock system with elevator control, guests can ONLY come to certain place/floor in hotels. They cannot go to every floor of this hotel. And it offers convenience and security for hotels.

c. RF card system, card use way is: swipe card to sensor area, around 0-30mm, the card can be induced.card has the function to keep record. latest 200pcs. combine with data collector, can see the door locks opening records. when, where, whom,use mechaniacal key or card, use which kind of card to open,etc. this system also can combine with access control system and elevator etc. It is popular trends in hotel lock security lines.

Take T5557 hotel lock energy-saving switch for example. It includes 3 kinds.

1. Normal kind.

   For example,you can use 101 room card insert into any other room switch, power is on. After you take out, power off.

2. Special kind. 

   For example, for 101 room switch, it only can recognize 101 room card. If you insert 101 room card into 102 room switch, it cannot make 102 room power on. Without limitation for LOCKS, net speed fast, and also price higher than that of RS485.
